During the Lennon Drain rehabilitation the engineer was faced with protecting very steep side slopes from erosion. Typical erosion control products would not be able to handle the steep slope combined with the potential high flows. AECOM engineering chose the LG block retaining wall system by IECS Group. Two lengths of wall were installed one at 90m long and 4 m tall and the other at 25m long and 4m tall. In total 230 blocks were installed over a period of 2 weeks. The ashlar stone architectural finish on the blocks made it ideal for this residential area.
